This is not a recipe in the traditional sense, but rather a guideline for assembling a delicious and visually appealing Southern Italian Antipasto using traditional Southern Italian ingredients and techniques.

Also included in this package is a recipe for the Easy Homemade Vanilla Fig Jam, which is detailed below. If desired, store-bought fig jam can be used in place of the homemade jam.

  • 1 pound burrata cheese (about 1 pound)
  • Cubed provolone cheese (four ounces), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup thinly sliced hot sopressata (about 3 ounces)
  • 2/3 cup sweet sopressata, thinly sliced 4 oz fresh ricotta cheese
  • *3 T. Easy Homemade Vanilla Fig Jam
  • *3 oz fresh figs
  • *3 oz fresh ricotta cheese
  • 3 tablespoons chopped walnuts 1 6-ounce jar roasted red peppers, sliced
  • 2 containers of marinated and seasoned mixed olives (4 oz each)
  • artichoke hearts from an 8-ounce jar, drained 1 pound red seedless grapes, divided into three or four bunches
  • Garnish with fresh basil and rosemary sprigs, as desired
  • The use of crusty Italian bread that has been thinly sliced is optional. If desired, gluten-free bread or crackers can be substituted.


1. Arrange the burrata in the center of a serving platter, with the Provolone cheese, soppressata, and fresh figs arranged around the edges.

Alternatively, fill a small serving bowl with the ricotta cheese, then top with the fig jam and walnuts, and set it next to the burrata arrangements.

3. Distribute the roasted red peppers, seasoned olives, and marinated artichoke hearts among individual serving dishes and arrange them near the other ingredients. 4.

4. Arrange the grapes, fresh herb sprigs, and crusty bread slices (if using) in a pleasing pattern around the other ingredients to create a beautiful display, and serve immediately after assembly. Enjoy!
