- freshly squeezed lemon juice (around 1 tablespoon)
- Optional: 1-2 tablespoons honey, preferably from a local source
1. To make the apples and pears, place them in an Instant Pot® along with the water, cinnamon, and freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir until well combined. Place the lid on top and tighten it down to keep it in place. The vent should be set to the “Sealing” setting, and the timer should be set to “Manual” for 4 minutes.
2. Once cooking is complete, allow the pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes before removing any leftover pressure manually.
3. Check the sweetness and make any necessary adjustments with honey. The mixture should be carefully transferred to a food processor or high-powered blender, where it should be thoroughly mixed until smooth. When compared to the results produced by ordinary blenders, immersion blenders have a chunkier texture.
Store in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve. Transfer the mixture to airtight containers. It is possible to store the dish in the refrigerator for up to a week after it has been prepared. Enjoy!
